So many of our past guests have expressed a desire to return to the Barossa and bring their friends, so they too can enjoy the “green fix” that rolling hills, vineyards and fresh country air offer. But…. they wanted to stay again at Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage and have their friends stay nearby in a cottage, also in beautiful Seppeltsfield. Now we have the perfect solution!
Our wonderful neighbours, Skye and Andrew Quinn, have painstakingly renovated a cottage overlooking our property. Known as Cambourne Boutique Accommodation, the cottage is located on their 18 acre Shiraz vineyard and offers amazing elevated views of the Barossa Valley. Like Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage, Cambourne also offers self-contained, luxury, vineyard accommodation, but for up to three couples (or two couples and two singles). In the above image, Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage is located in the centre of the photo, with Cambourne located up the hill on the left, a mere three minute walk from our cottage (it’s much closer than the photo depicts!)
The history of Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage, provided to us by descendants of the German settler family who built it, indicates Cambourne was built by members of the same family around the 1850s. It’s amazing that both cottages have not only survived the last 160+ years, but now both offer some of the Barossa Valley’s most unique boutique, heritage, vineyard accommodation. The other thing our cottages have in common is that as owners, we are passionate about our guests having a fantastic experience and being able to immerse themselves in the beautiful community and countryside of Seppeltsfield, one of the Barossa’s most iconic destinations.
Our cottage, Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage offers bespoke luxury for just one couple with a king bedroom and ensuite. Cambourne (pictured) offers three luxurious bedrooms, each also with a magnificent ensuite bathroom, making a total of four bedrooms with four ensuites across the two cottages. Cambourne’s bedrooms can accommodate 3 couples or two couples and two singles.
Cambourne offers beautiful contemporary furnishings throughout, which work in perfect harmony with the heritage of the cottage. The views are spectacular!
A delightful central kitchen and dining area is dominated by a spectacular feature wall paying reverance to the building’s humble beginnings many years ago.
Cambourne guests can walk down the hill through our property to Hentley Farm Cellar Door and restaurant, collecting their friends staying in Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage on the way. It’s only another 5 minute walk for the group to Hentley Farm from our cottage. Alternatively, the couple staying in our cottage just take a three minute walk up to Cambourne. With their friends they can then enjoy the ten minute wander across Seppeltsfield Road to one of Australia’s most iconic destinations, Seppeltsfield Winery and co-located Fino restaurant.
So, we all know how difficult it is to catch up and relax with our friends. Here is an opportunity to take a break from the city, enjoy fresh air, food, wine and friendship and all that the Barossa has to offer you!
